Compensation:
This is an unpaid internship, but sponsorships for paid internships are welcome.


Position Summary:

PhoScope, a nonprofit think tank on light dedicated to developing programs that facilitate change and advance critical study, practice and education in lighting, seeks interns for its Fall, Spring and Summer Internship Programs.

The intern will conduct research for current programs and projects and contribute to project development. The position will include both project-related and administrative work. The intern will mainly work off-site, and meet regularly with the Directors. The intern will also be asked to contribute to other ongoing initiatives and activities, including research on potential future projects. Whenever possible, PhoScope interns are included in site visits and project meetings.

Graduate students in a related field of study (lighting design, urban studies, policy, social sciences, design) are preferred. The ideal candidate will be a good writer and independent researcher with previous office experience, and proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, WordPress and social media.
